S.E.A.R. Blue Phase

SEAR Blue Phase provides Cadre a final chance to physically and mentally prepare trainees for success at BCT (screen for height and weight, solve administrative issues, resolve personal or financial issues, check physical readiness).

Blue Phase, like red phase is not optional, and is conducted during the last drill, no less than 15 days prior to ship. The purpose of Blue Phase is to provide expectations of the Reception Battalion / IET environment and provide Cadre a final chance to ensure Warriors are on the IET M.A.P. to Success: Mentally prepared, Administratively correct and Physically fit.

In addition, this course provides a final chance to remove two of the five top reasons for training pipeline losses: fear of the unknown and buyer’s remorse. It also educates family members about support provided by the National Guard while the Soldier is at training.

Trainees are frightened but excited about BCT. Use this opportunity to get them pumped up about the incredible challenge ahead and how it will be an experience that will change them in very positive ways.

SEAR Blue Phase modules educate the warriors about what to expect before, during, and after BCT, with a Special Section for Split Training Option Soldiers.
