Commander's Duties and Responsibilities for Drill
Pre-Drill:
Review/approve training work plans.
Review/approve training schedule.
Conduct Additional Training Assembly for leaders.
Ensure all leaders understand the training objective.
Review personnel and administrative requirements (WCP)(birth month reviews) (pay problems).
Ensure new soldiers are sponsored and receive pre-basic orientation.
Emphasize extension interviews.
Review training requirements (APFT make-ups) (soldiers that require school applications) (review non-MOSQ soldiers).
Review logistical requirements (inventory and maintenance requirements).
Other:
During Drill:
Ensure accountability of all personnel.
Conduct/evaluate all training (Chief Trainer).
Ensure resources are available for training.
Ensure training objectives are met.
Reward soldiers who perform above standard.
Conduct disciplinary actions as required.
Conduct extension interviews as required.
Counsel soldiers as required.
Inspect training and equipment.
Conduct 10% property inventory.
Ensure preventive maintenance and services are performed.
Perform as Unit Safety Officer.

Attend Additional Training Assembly for leaders.
Ensure all team members understand the training objective.
Ensure new soldiers are sponsored and receive pre-basic orientation.
Prepare for required extension interviews and MPRJ reviews.
Check Team Leaders Attrition Management Tool for training requirements for team members (APFT make-ups)(soldiers that require school applications)(review non-MOSQ soldiers).
Other:
During Drill:
Conduct squad/section accountability.
Inspect soldiers uniforms and appearance.
Conduct/observe/evaluate all training as appropriate.
Sponsor new soldiers.
