Care & Laundering of Your Battle Dress Uniform
Before washing your Battle Dress Uniform (BDU), follow these
instructions:
- Do not use bleach.
- Do not use hot water in the
washing machine.
- Do not use the "NORMAL" or "HOT" temperature settings
in the dryer.
- If ironing is required, set the iron on "SYNTHETIC" or
"LOW". NOTE: If hot water or hot temperatures (in excess of 130 degrees) are
used on the BDU, this will cause irreversible damage.
Machine Washing - Set the water temperature on "WARM", never "HOT", and use the "WASH
& WEAR" or "PERMAPRESS" cycle only. Use a detergent designed for warm or
cool water washing and NEVER USE CHLORINE BLEACH.
Machine Drying - Use
the "PERMAPRESS" cycle or low heat setting. "NORMAL" heat setting will be too
hot. Remove all items immediately after drying. Do not allow clothes to sit in
the dryer — they will wrinkle.
