Overview:

The MGIB-AD is an educational assistance program established on 1 July 1985 to encourage servicemembers to enlist in the active services. US law requires that any active duty member that meets 2 year tour eligibility requirement, in-processes for MGIB-AD and either accepts or declines the benefit.
