Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)

Army ROTC is a college elective that teaches you the skills needed for a successful career.  You will combine classroom time with hands-on experience and learn leadership and management skills.  Since ROTC is an elective, you can try it out for up to two years with no obligation.  Whatever you decide, the experience you will gain in Army ROTC will give you the confidence you need to be successful in college and beyond.  Whether you choose to pursue a career in the Army or in the corporate world, Army ROTC prepares you unlike any other college course you can take.

The Army ROTC scholarship program provides financial assistance for the education and training of highly qualified and motivated young men and women who desire to be commissioned as officers in the Army after graduation from college.  Army ROTC scholarships pay tuition and required fees, and can be worth as much as $60,000 or more.  They are awarded on merit and take into account such factors as academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal interviews.  Scholarship recipients receive a stipend each academic month as shown below, plus an allowance for books and other educational items.

Non-scholarship students also receive the monthly stipend during their last two years as a contracted ROTC cadet.  Let’s look at some of the options available in the Army ROTC Program.
